One of the worst days ever...

On Friday, March 9th at 10 am, I had just finished up my workout at the gym when my phone rang. It was Kodi, in tears, "Mom, I just got in an accident". My response was "Are you okay?" and she replied, "Yeah, they're cutting me out of the car now." I had her give her cell phone to the paramedic and he explained everything to me and told me where to meet the ambulance. What a long day it was! Bryan was in Virginia and not due home until late that evening. He managed to get an earlier flight, but unfortunately was on airplanes most of the day. He kept texting me "UPDATE ME!" Luckily, after spending the night in the hospital, Kodi walked away with cuts and bruises, but that is only because her guardian angels were truly with her. The paramedic, police officer and ER doctor all told me "She is one lucky girl". She wasn't driving, she was a passenger, and was NOT wearing her seatbelt! Her girlfriend lost control of the car, driving at a "high rate of speed" and slammed into a tree on the passenger side. Kodi asked me to put these pictures on the blog. Hopefully she has learned a lesson. Believe it or not, she is back in school today, moving slowly, but moving! We are so blessed!!
