Such a fabulous weekend!

I can definitely look back on this past weekend and smile!  Saturday was errand day.  This is usually the case especially with Bryan traveling so much.  We started at Costco, which was so crowded and busy we decided to forego it until today and headed to Target instead to pick up a birthday gift for one of Phoebe's friends.  After purchasing a couple of Star Wars action figures, we rushed to get P to her birthday party on time (with me in the back of the Suburban wrapping the gifts on the way).  The plan was to grab a bite to eat while she partied, but I realized right after dropping her off that I didn't have my phone!  PANIC!  We rushed back to Target and, thankfully, someone had turned it in to guest services!  WHEW!

We ate,  picked up P, and then headed to a costume shop that a friend recommended for a "John Lennon" costume.  Well, it was closed...like forever, so I googled and found another...also closed forever, googled again...closed at 3 (it's now 4:30), called and found one that closed at 5 in downtown KC!  So we rushed and got there just before closing!  We found what we needed and headed home to get ready for our party!

I gotta say, I'm not a big fan of the "costume" thing!  I just look like an old version of Maryann...too stressful!  And, although my husband is gorgeous no matter what, I'll take my bald man ANY day!!!
The party was lots of fun!  Everyone really got into the spirit of it and played their parts...BTW, the butler did it :)

On Sunday, we decided to go to Manhatten and visit Kodi.  She is so busy with school and work that we never get to see her, so the only way to catch a glimpse of her was to go to the restaurant where she works and have lunch, with her being our server!  Jake, Zach and Phoebe went along and we had a delicious lunch, which my beautiful, mature daughter insisted on paying for!  WOW!  I was just bursting with pride!  It's a strange and wonderful thing to look over at this beautiful, smart, funny, charming, kind woman and think, "That's my daughter!"

It's a two-hour drive to Manhatten and it started snowing on our way there.  It snowed the whole way home and Jake and I passed the time by taking photos while we drove...

Now we start another week...I've been up since 3:30am...I must be anxious for the fun to begin ;-)
