Our Airman

This man, yes MAN, has made us so proud!  This past weekend B and I drove to San Antonio, TX to attend the Air Force Basic Training graduation of Airman Dylan J. Geisler (soon to be Dylan J. Aicher!).

He has chosen a career in Security Forces for the United States Air Force

Before the ceremony the Airman crossed this bridge to make there way to the field

Chrissy, Mom, Bryan, Candace and Jayden watched from the stands

There is so much I could say about my nephew (third from the back)

He has truly been so much more than "nephew" for both B and I, more  like a son

And I'm so happy to watch him follow in the footsteps of Candace and her husband, Joe

Christine was glowing because she knew her son was going to be okay

and his Nana couldn't have been happier to see him on this path

Something he has wanted to do for some time

Watching him go from the "rambunctious" boy to honorable young man has been amazing

and I'm so incredibly happy to see what's next for this Airman as he moves forward

because, as he has said so many times, he is "ready to begin his life".

I love you Dylan.

Great narrative on the pictures....sometimes it does take a village, but in this case an amazing group of family, to raise a child to become a man. All of you have done an amazing job, and from all I see he has be one an amazing young man.
