May I Vent?

I'm not going to go on and on about this, but I need to vent just a little...

On Tuesday, P had to get a few vaccinations (that's a whole other rant!)...now this is a child that has had open-heart surgery, she didn't even cry when she broke her arm (although she did go into shock)...so she gets her shots in both arms and doesn't cry or flinch.  She's amazing.  I call her my "toughie" (sounds like tuffy) .  So today, two days later and two showers later, the band-aids are STILL on her arms.  I explained to P that it was time to remove them and we would do it very quickly so it would only hurt for a second.  Well, my TOUGHIE cried when I peeled those stupid things off!  Her little arms were so red from the band-aids!  Please explain to me why, in this day and age, there isn't a better way???  I think that stinkin' band-aid took off the top layer of her skin.

Okay...done venting and I feel better.  More importantly, I think my little Toughie forgot all about it by the time she climbed on the bus.

I know MOST of you have been through the same thing...thoughts?

And now, because I like to have a photo when I post, here is a great one of P and the twins, Andrew and Steven, from last weekend.

Kim, I know what you mean. Ry doesn't like band aids either. you would think they would have come up with something that doesn't stick like glue to their skin.

And I love the picture. Very adorable.

Most of the time the band aid is worse then the shot especially if there is hair on the arm or leg. OUCH!!

Well, she is a little hairy :)
