I'm posting two videos...one is from the last night of the performance and I used my Flip video camera. It's definitely clearer, unfortunately, they were being very strict about NOT allowing videotaping so I had to be stealth. I'm obviously not good at that and had a hard time not being able to WATCH what I was taping. So hear is the one that is closer, but has some badly taped parts:
And here is the one that I took on Opening Night with my iPhone. Further away, but you can see everything.
I have watched them both many times, but that's just me. No matter, both performances were simply wonderful!

Sunday Snapshot: {Crazy For You}
The following are, of course, this Mom's opinions :)
The moment Jake appears in his performance as Bella Zangler in Crazy For You, he commands the stage.
His character is a famous (Hungarian) Broadway producer/director in the 1930's.
Jake's friend, Alex, has the lead as Bobby Childs, a performer who wants Bella to hire him.
He does an impromptu audition
And Bella calls him a moron and leaves.
Alex's character, due to circumstances, ends up impersonating Jake. (Below is actually Alex as Bella)
Jake's character shows up in search of the girl he loves, Tess (below)
There is drinking involved and comedy ensues (I'll be posting a video soon of a great duet with Jake and Alex)
Everything works out in the end and everyone is happy!
After the show Jake took pics with his MANY fans :)
Grandma
Ali and Kelly
Got some congrats from Dad
And hugs from his VERY proud Mom!
This was probably the last musical that Jake and Alex would perform in together. And I can still remember when they were in Westward Whoa! in 7th grade!
And then there was the 8th grade play, Comic Book Artist...So cute!

What a weekend!
We've had a crazy weekend with my Mother-in-law and Sister-in-law coming into town on Thursday night to see Jake perform in his high school musical, Crazy For You, and all the activity surrounding that! Pictures are coming...and hopefully a video...but for now I wanted to get the pics up from the Sadie Hawkins dance.
Jake and Sam went in the same group, which makes me so happy! I love that Jake is giving Sam guidance and has welcomed her into his group of friends.
and she got ready over at Ali's house! They looked beautiful!
Jake and Ali decided to wear candy bracelets, instead of flowers :)
They looked great together.
And you've got to love the "serious" guy pose!
However, this year he was content to get a picture with one of his favorite people!

She took her friend, who is also one of Jake's very good friends, Cody, as her date.

I had to get my Zach in on a couple of photos...it's hard to believe that next year he'll be in high school and hopefully going to the Sadie Hawkins dance!

However, this year he was content to get a picture with one of his favorite people!

Jake and Ali
Saturday was the Sadie Hawkins dance and, of course, Jake and Ali went. I got quite a few pics that I'll post tomorrow, and unfortunately, I don't think any turned out really well, but I loved this one.
So sweet.

A Memory
When B and I got married 23 years ago, we (mostly me) spent a lot of time trying to decide what song we wanted as our "first dance" as husband and wife. We chose this...
RIP Whitney Houston.

Sunday Snapshot
This year I decided to utilize some of the amazing Valentine's Day templates that I've seen and make P's Valentine's Day cards for school. We decided Saturday would be our picture-taking day and we also thought it would be fun to dress up a bit.
We had to start off inside because it was about 12 degrees out!
But P didn't care! She loved dressing up :)
We were waiting for her hair to dry before braving the cold! (She had just gotten out of the bath and we wanted to curl it!)
When we did head outside, we took a few quick shots without a coat on.
But it was just wayyyy too cold.
So she put on her coat.
And flashed that big beautiful smile.
And while she was smiling she kept saying "Are we done yet?"
All in all, I think we got some pretty good shots and we had a lot of fun, even if we did freeze our butts off!
Now for my two favorites...a photo suggestion from my Mom...THANKS MOM!
And of course Sweet P was more than happy to pose for these!
As for the Valentine's Day cards...we did bookmarks with candy attached. The adorable template was a freebie from Florabella.
